The Royal Collection

Designers Guild, established in 1970, one of the foremost home and lifestyle companies designing and producing furnishing fabrics and wallcoverings worldwide, launches The Royal Collection of Fabrics and Wallpapers under a worldwide association with the Royal Collection.

The collections are inspired by the magnificent interiors of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, official residences of Her Majesty The Queen, and by works of art in the Royal Collection.

Designers Guild has carefully researched the archives in order to produce, and make available to the public, collections that are inspired by the royal palaces and not only possess integrity and splendour, but which are of the highest quality. The range has been produced using the finest weavers, printers and specialist mills whose expertise will ensure a balance of remaining faithful to traditional weaving and printing methods and the very latest in modern technology.

This is the first licensing agreement of this kind that the Royal Collection has undertaken. Designers Guild is therefore honoured to present this inaugural collection of jacquard woven silk damasks, embroidered silks, silk velvets, sumptuous jacquard velvets and wonderful flock printed and surface printed wallpapers.

Tricia Guild and her design team have created a cohesive collection of sophisticated fabrics that, whilst being classically inspired by the royal palaces, have a relevance to today’s world and how we live.
